Zapotec designed the PV module layout as well as the single line diagram for a 466 kW PV system paired with a 250 kW 3 hour lithium ion battery storage system. The project was designed to allow the school to serve the Medford community as an emergency shelter. Zapotec worked with B2Q to determine the critical loads required to achieve this goal. Zapotec submitted the interconnection application for this project and worked extensively with National Grid's distributed energy team to received a fully executed interconnection service agreement for the full system. Zapotec also assisted with creating bid specifications.
