Zapotec studied the affects of potential future solar arrays throughout the UMASS medical campus in fall 2020. The feasbility study included detailed layouts of the potential arrays located at eight different sites throughout the campus as well as a financial model to incorporate possible tax incentives and the SMART program, structural analysis of roof mounted arrays, and Helioscope models to outline production estimates and equipment layouts. Zapotec delivered a final report summarizing all findings as well as recommendations for future work with solar on the campus as well as a timeline on what sites to tackle first.
