In 2008, National Grid established its Massachusetts Solar Initiative to install 5 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in Massachusetts. During the first phase of the initiative, Zapotec Energy was tasked to provide technical consulting and owner's engineering services to National Grid for development of solar energy systems at three locations in Massachusetts: Whitinsville (1 MW), Everett (640 kW) and Haverhill (1 MW). Zapotec performed design reviews, construction visits and commissioning tests for these projects.
