Equity Residential installs customized solar energy project to help power its apartment buildings, Waltham, MAServices: Design and Construction Operations and Maintenance
In April 2017, Zapotec Energy completed two more solar energy projects for Equity Residential of Chicago, IL at the Longview Place Apartments in Waltham, MA. The rooftop solar energy system at 60 Hope Avenue is designed to produce 73.5 kW of electricity at peak capacity, and the system at 70-80 Hope Avenue is designed to produce 80.6 kW of electricity at peak capacity. Although each rooftop hosts its own array of solar panels, the solar energy systems at 70-80 Hope Avenue are electrically combined before feeding into the buildings’ switchgear. Together, the systems are expected to generate 197,400 kWh of electricity each year. The systems are made up of 474 (325 W) Hanwha Q-Cell solar panels, five SolarEdge inverters, and a customized roof-mounted racking system from SunModo Corp.
