Zapotec has partnered with Boston University, embracing its initiative to be a more sustainable campus.

Though the project is still in its preliminary stages, Zapotec has assessed many buildings on the Charles River campus including each building’s electrical and structural feasibility for integrating solar power.

In addition to offices, facilities and other residencies, the living learning community, Earth House, is on the list of potential locations for solar.  The historic four-story brownstone is a student dormitory for those interested in sustainability.  Residents of Earth House aim to conserve energy and water while minimizing waste.  Earth House hopes to move closer to Net Zero or Energy Positive status through its implementation of solar power.
