Solar PV Tour at Harvard UniversityCategory: Project Updates
On a mild winter day, two dozen graduate students from Harvard University's SEAS (School of Engineering and Applied Sciences) class toured the solar PV system mounted on top of Harvard's Gordon Indoor Track.
Installed in May 2012, this 592 kW DC PV system will produce 650,000 kWh of electricity, which can power 50 homes in Massachusetts. It also saves $85,000 annually in electricity costs and 500 metric tons of CO2 from going into the environment.
