Solar PV serves an educational purpose in addition to producing clean electricity. This 7.2-kilowatt system was installed by MIT on its Student Center in 2003, and is continuously monitored by a Helotronics data acquisition system. Zapotec served as the PV system contractor for this and two other systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology campus in Cambridge.
