Zapotec Energy is happy to welcome Mrinmayee Kale back to the office as our newest Design Engineer. Last summer, Mrinmayee worked with Zapotec as an intern through the MassCEC Clean Energy Internship Program. After receiving her M.S. in Energy Systems at Northeastern University in December, Zapotec was eager to bring Mrinmayee on fulltime.

At Northeastern University, her studies focused on renewable energy technologies, sustainable design, financial project evaluation and energy efficiency. In addition to her academics, Mrinmayee was a building science research assistant for one of her professors working to improve the energy efficiency of wood-framed housing. She also participated in two Net-Zero Energy challenges at the national level for residential and commercial buildings, placing second with her team in the NESEA competition for their energy efficiency models.

Mrinmayee is originally from India where she received her first degree in Mechanical Engineering at Pune University. She is ready to contribute her skills and learn even more about solar PV design while working with the Zapotec team.
